Morning workout and 8 mile run at the gym. Tried to concentrate on proper form and not so much on pace. The hamstring pain was a little less and something I can deal with as long as it doesn't put added strain on the knee which was close to 100% today. I did drop the pace down to MP the last couple miles just to see how everything would react. Not bad but I still think I need to take it really easy and let everything calm back down. We'll see how thing go?

Keep being smart. No need to test it out this week. Just keep it easy.

Rhett-Tom that's good advice but I feel like I need a confidence builder going into this marathon.... all the cards are on the table. I really feel like I put the miles and time in like I was supposed to. Maybe not the best training cycle I've had but on par for a BQ. It'll all play out one way or the other. Thanks for caring.

Hey you, time to do any speed testing is past you. Your 11 days out of your race day. Well into your taper. Just finish your taper the way it's supposed to be done and the marathon will take care of itself. Don't worry about anything else, take a chill pill lose all the dings and dangs that you've collected and get your mental game on board 100%!!! I wish my training cycle getting to Boston had been as good as yours for Illinois!
