Next to the last long run before tapering down for Surf City. I went to a local Rail to Trails  thinking it would be a better surface to run on to take some of the beating off my foot. It was 65 degrees when I started and cloudy and 90% chance of rain. I did get finished before it started raining but was soaked with sweat anyway and it looked like I had just walked out of water. When I got back it the truck it said it was 71 degrees, which is way to Hot for me but was a good chance to get a long run in with the temps being more close to what it will be like at the marathon. I sure hope the temps are a little cooler for the marathon though. My average time wasn't to bad but the tank was empty after 20.

sounds like your almost ready to get in a little taper time where you can cut back and rest up your foor and whatever else is bothering you at the moment.....22 days till show time! I think I'll start looking at the projected weather forecasts sometime next week. Hope it's about clear and about 50 degrees.

I think I'll do one more long run next Thursday then I'll be as ready as I can be. I'm with you I'd take high 30's to low 40's at the start with a cool breeze coming off the ocean and then slowly warming up to the 50's.
